    Job Posting Title:SPED Teacher - Psychologist - Child Find Assessment Professional

    Job Description:As a collaborative member of the Child Find Assessment team, completes a variety of assessment events in a transdisciplinary play based model. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

    Position Specific Information (if Applicable):


    --- Collaborate with families, community agencies, and other district departments to develop IEPs.

    --- Attend and facilitate IEP meetings.

    --- Collaborate with team members to create and implement Behavior Intervention Plans as needed.

    --- Communicate assessment results effectively to all stakeholders.

    --- Facilitate successful transitions into programming.

    --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

    --- May be required to travel within district boundaries.

    Maintain accurate and up to date records of every treatment/session delivered to students whether direct or indirect services. Information will be documented into either the current IEP system and/or current Medicaid system. Document all student services who are eligible for Medicaid reimbursement if current DORA license is held. Complete records of students' progress and development preparing required reports on students and activities.

    --- Documents health related services in Designated Medicaid documentation system for the DCSD School Medicaid Reimbursement Program.

    --- Demonstrate knowledge and skill regarding the components of effective instruction, assessment of cognitive, social, emotional, adaptive function, child development, behavior management, Response to Intervention, RTI, counseling, and consultation; demonstrated knowledge of developmental needs of early childhood, school aged children.

    --- Generate comprehensive evaluation reports.

    --- Collaborate with families, community agencies, and other district departments to determine eligibility of students for Early Intervention or Special Education services.
