    The Account Receivable Lead submit Touch Work encounters, late charges, adjust charge task, review encounters, manage charge edits, process charge corrections, work files, correct result charges, and late charges. In addition, the providers are tasked in order to improve accuracy and eliminate inefficiencies. Each Clerk handles approximately 7,500 charge submissions per month. That entails editing, correcting insurance FSC, checking the CPT and ICD- 10 codes, verify office visit type, verify that correct modifier is listed and follow up. This covers Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, and all specialties at Southwest Medical Associates.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Auditing, random spot checks on daily work batches, and claim form review for accuracy
    • Oversee the daily workflow of the team members assigned
    • Responsible for the training and development of new and existing team members. Assist management with the development of department standards, policies and procedures, attendance records, counseling, and performance evaluations
    • Responsible for identifying the need for system changes, researching and development of new information technology as needed within the department
    • Responsible for communicating with inter-company personnel regarding medical coding and billing issues. Onsite training of clinical personnel on charge and billing issues as needed. Attending monthly meetings and seminars pertaining to medical and/ or corporate functions
    • Responsible for performing all team duties as needed and handles special projects as assigned

    Required Qualifications:
    • High school education
    • 5 years of billing experience in a high volume environment experience
    • 2 years in a leadership role
    • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9/10 coding
    • Knowledge of Modifiers
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Thorough knowledge of medical insurance and federal guidelines
    • Must be able to work in Las Vegas Office
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Charge Entry experience
    • Ability to type 45/50 words per minute
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • College degree
