As a Production Process Generalist
you will prepare incoming parts or subassemblies for assembly into our high-reliability products. You'll operate vacuum, air and various types of hydrogen atmosphere furnaces to fire and braze parts and components for traveling wave tubes (TWTs) and other products according to specified schedules. You may also perform sandblasting of component parts and assembly surfaces for TWTs and other related devices, prepare chemical process solutions and baths for pre-treating and chemical cleaning of parts, electroplate materials, and components, and perform incidental related duties as necessary.
- 1 to 2 year previous relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment; some experience with precision sandblasting, chemical solutions, or brazing operations is preferred.
- A high degree of attention to detail while meeting processing schedules is necessary
- Requires good hand/eye coordination to work with precision parts
- Must be able to accurately follow detailed directions and read and interpret design drawings, engineering specifications, and process and equipment instructions
- Effective verbal communication skills are needed
- Some familiarity with personal computers is helpful
