Working directly with the Client, Design and Construction Team, the BIM Manager / Digital Delivery Program Lead is responsible for managing, facilitating, and executing the daily processes of developing and maintaining BIM in the office/ client site/ construction site. Working as the main point of contact to designers and modelers for BIM related items, the BIM Manager is accountable for delivering successful integration, design, construction, operations, and automation workflows. The BIM Manager is responsible for aiding the design/ construction team in development of models, developing client BIM standards, ensuring conformance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and ensuring that information being generated within models is accurate and clean. To accomplish these tasks, the BIM Manager may also be responsible for generating content, facilitating Quality Control processes, managing data sharing activities among the Design Team, and helping provide an interface between users and IT regarding BIM software requirements.
• Lead the collaborative development of BIM Project/ Program Standards
• Oversee or lead the development of BIM Execution Plans
• Assisting in maintenance of Standards Libraries
• Ensuring compliance of best practices by project teams
• Providing technical knowledge of BIM to project teams
• Conducting and leading periodic coordination meetings with project teams
• Coordination and daily management of BIM projects
• Setting up or assisting with setting up new projects
• Setting up quality control sessions for project teams
• Performing Quality Control reviews such as clash detection and visual inspection of models
• Assisting with producing final deliverable data sets from BIM data
• Assisting in researching, evaluating, and implementing new technologies
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
•Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Autocad
•Knowledge of, or background in, basic construction processes and procedures
•Basic knowledge of primary disciplines involved in building design
•Working knowledge of and interest in BIM requirements, processes, workflows, and best practices
•Advanced computer skills, especially concerning Microsoft Windows Applications and modeling software applications
•Strong written and verbal communication, and leadership skills
•Ability to work as part of a team and independently
•Ability to use time efficiently
•US Citizenship required.
•Active TS Security Clearance
•A Professional degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related fields
•Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English
•Minimum 7 years relevant professional experience. Federal including DoD project experience preferred
•Valid drivers' license is required
