    Shift: 1st. Mon-Fri, 8:30a-5p.

    Responsibilities:
    The Inventory Specialist is a nurse practitioner responsible for providing nursing, technical and clerical support for the processes of inventory control, direct purchasing and receiving of direct order supplies and equipment, researching product information, coordinating repairs and assisting with evaluation of new products. Works collaboratively with the Business Manager of Surgical Services, handling the daily operations surrounding the surgical inventory, and indirectly coordinating the duties of the OR Buyers and Surgical Support Assistants. The Inventory Specialist also plays an integral part in reviewing nursing documentation to validate billing and maximize charge capture. Other duties as assigned.

    Summary:

    Three years of experience as a Surgical Services nurse is required. Experience with Inventory Management Systems (i.e. Lawson) for inventory maintenance and acquisition is required. Five years of experience as a Surgical Services nurse is preferred. Associate degree in Nursing is required. Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred. Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).

    Other information:
    Detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills. Knowledge and experience with MS Office programs.
