    The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Upscale Security Officer.As an Upscale Security Officer, you will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol across rough, uneven or rocky surfaces, in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements; use a variety of computer based programs, compose reports, deter criminal activity and misconduct and perform other duties as specified in post orders.

    Role Responsibility:

    Specific Duties and Essential Functions
    • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
    • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
    • Be capable of making decisions in accordance with rules, regulations and policies
    • Demonstrate mental alertness, remaining vigilant and active while on duty
    • Inform/Warn/Cite violators of rule infractions
    • Perform other operations and related functions as needed (e.g., maintain incident reports, and post orders)
    The Ideal Candidate:

    Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
    • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Must clear Department of Public Safety background check in addition to G4S Background
    • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a current and valid Arizona State Certification Security Officer License
    • Must possess a current and valid state-issued driver's license
    Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
    • Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a security guard, police officer or military police officer
    Skills Required
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Active listening skills
    • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
    • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
    • Attention to detail
    • Must be at least 21years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
    • Must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must maintain a level of physical fitness necessary to climb stairs or ladders, and lift and/or maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Must be physically capable of performing foot patrols on rough, uneven or rocky surfaces in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
    • Must be computer literate
    • Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or computers
    • Ability to read, interpret, and implement written instructions/Post Orders, understand and follow oral instructions, and assimilate specialized training
    • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
    • Ability to clearly read, write and interpret reports
    • Ability to observe behaviors and report details accurately
    • Ability to remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time
    • Demonstrated ability to be mentally alert and capable of making decisions in accordance with rules, regulations and policies
    • Must be physically capable of operating motor vehicles safely
    • Be able to successfully complete all training required for the position
    • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
    • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
    Physical Requirements and Environment

    Environment: Indoor and outdoor; some work in extreme temperatures is expected

    Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, telephone use while working on a PC

    Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching, walking
