    Broad Function

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, the Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A is principally responsible for short and long-term financial forecasts, annual operating plan, variance analysis, the annual indirect budgeting process, and special projects / ad hoc requests. This individual will also provide financial data and strategic support to management including preparing executive level presentations, financial presentations, financial analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, and other projects requested by management.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Primary lead for L3Harris Corporate/Segment/Sector/Division Financial Reporting requirements - both routine and non-routine
    • Strong understanding of advanced financial planning and analysis concepts and able to articulate this to management
    • Owns the preparation of the Division's monthly Short-Term Forecast (STF) and Annual Operating Plan forecast (Plan) accompanied with detailed supporting schedules
    • A clear understanding of indirect rate development/modeling and solid experience with rate variance analysis
    • Analyze Division level financial forecasts and provide Sector management with independent assessments of projected performance against plan targets
    • Support the development of Internal Program Reviews and ad hoc senior management presentations
    • Prepare meaningful variance analyses of actual versus forecast financial performance
    • Develop and implement sophisticated financial models, forecasting tools and dashboards to improve process efficiencies and financial performance
    • Analyze trends in orders, sales, cost of sales, profit, and cash (net funds) and provide recommendations to senior management in support of strategic business decisions
    • Serve as the primary POC to coordinate accurate and timely submissions of all related Division standard and ad hoc reports/data requests
    • Establish and monitor Indirect functional department budgets, indirect rate forecasts and estimate inclusive therein
    • Support new system implementation and reporting
    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
    • CPA and/or MBA is desirable and may be substituted for years of experience
    • Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, as well as familiarity with DFAS, FAR and CAS (Government accounting rules)
    • Must have at least 6 years in a similar role within the government contracting industry and/or a combination of progressive financial experience in a similar role within a related industry
    Skills, Knowledge, Certifications and Conditions
    • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite of product skills
    • Extensive knowledge and hands-on application of GCS Premier and/or Costpoint ERP systems
    • Experience with Hyperion SmartView and Cognos reporting tools
    • Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
    • Strong sense of initiative, independence, closure, and ability to navigate multiple priorities in a tight-deadline, high-volume environment
    • Strong business partnering, interpersonal and leadership skills required
    • Ability to communicate complex financial data and concepts to both financial and non-financial leaders
    • Adept at using logic and reasoning to work through problems and analyze information
    • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
    • Demonstrated "can do" ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
