    Job Summary

    The Center for Clinical and Translational Science ( CCTS ) https://medicine.utah.edu/ccts/, seeks a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team. The CCTS provides research infrastructure for investigators to translate promising bench science into practices that improve human health. This position has the ability to work remotely and will oversee the collection, compilation, and input of data; analyze and summarize data; and prepare reports. Makes recommendations to administrators based on analysis of data. Works with a wide array of programs and managers to meet reporting requirements.

    Responsibilities

    1.Oversees the collection and organization of data that are entered into databases.

    2.Ensures the accuracy of data, analyzes conflicting data, and verifies/collects missing information.

    3.Utilizes computer programs/software to analyze data (determines trends and changes in data), such as creating a quarterly report analyzing the utilization of clinical research resources or creating visuals for programmatic trends.

    4.Maintain datasets, data collection instruments, and serve as data expert to decision makers.

    5.Provides documents/reports to administrators and outside agencies as required.

    6.Creates and/or oversees the creation of surveys and their analysis; evaluates programs and data collect design for potential improvements

    7.Perform recurring data entry, analysis and data reports on monthly/quarterly basis as projects require.

    8.Provide database expertise to clinical and administrative staff responsible for operational data entry.

    9.Handles special projects and creates special reports as needed.

    10.Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and completing projects within given deadlines.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Two years experience in collecting, organizing analyzing, and presenting data; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.

    Preferences

    Experienced or proficient in Excel- pivot tables, Index/Match, IF statements, REDCap database, Statistical packages - ( SPSS, Python, R), Dashboard software - Tableau, SQL
