    A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in the Electrical Engineering Department of The Pennsylvania State University, University Park Campus. Candidates with a background in one or more of the following areas: dynamics analysis of power systems, machine learning, cybersecurity, renewable energy, microgrids, hands-on experiences on hardware-in-the-loop projects, are needed. A Ph.D. in power systems or a closely related area is required. The successful applicant must have the ability to work independently and participate in teamwork. He/She is expected to document the research results in refereed journal publications, present them at seminars and conferences, assist with grant applications, and be involved in the supervision of research of graduate students. The appointment will be for a one-year period with a possibility of renewal.


    Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
