JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Harrisburg seeks talented graduate students to work part-time as Graduate Wage Associate (GWA) with faculty, in stimulating intellectual environment across diverse academic and research units. Please note this is a wage position, therefore, student's tuition and fees are not covered.
Responsibility includes assisting faculty in research and special projects, laboratory instruction, tutoring undergraduate students, grading assignments, and working on other academic unit initiatives.
Candidates for the GWA positions must have received the offer of admission into one of the 30 master's or doctoral degree programs offered by the five academic schools - School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, School of Business Administration, School of Humanities, School of Public Affairs and the School of Science, Engineering and Technology.
To be considered for a GWA position, a letter of reference from the academic school that admitted you must be submitted directly to the office of Graduate Studies.
Successful applicants for a Graduate Wage Assistantship position must be available to work 20 hours/week at Penn State Harrisburg.
CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
