Provides support to all of the ProMedica Facilities by providing management and technical support of all alarms, video systems, access control, visitor management, duress alarms, dispatching/report writing software and photo imaging for all ProMedica properties. Coordinates the installation of all technical equipment including equipment related to investigations. Provides security related expertise and manages the installation of all security focused technical equipment for new construction and facility upgrades. Provides "mark-ups" of plans and drawings for ProMedica facilities to assist Construction and Facilities teams. Communicates at all levels appropriately to move the program forward in a positive manner. Works in cooperation with other system providers to include Facilities, Construction, I.T., contract labor and security service providers.
Preferred to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Should have a minimum of two (2) years' experience in Security, Law Enforcement or I.T. Requires basic knowledge of hospital policies, the organizational structure and a high degree of discretion in performing duties. Must be willing to receive training and education as well as willing to provide necessary training to end users. Must be able to process, problem solve and identify Security needs within the system. Must complete the Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification from the International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security within 6 months of appointment.
