    We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Social Worker to join our Case Management team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Our vibrant team is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of patient care.

    Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served the growing communities of San Diego's coastal North County since 1978. We are a community hospital with a friendly environment.

    Social Workers provide an important role within the hospital by assisting patient and families with personal and environmental problems which predispose illness or which interfere with their obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. Provides peer supervision for other staff, education for social work interns and/or assists with program planning and organization of services. Demonstrates ability to perform competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools. Demonstrates age specific care as established for a Clinical Social Worker in assigned area.

    This is an 8 Hour, Full-Time (80 hours per pay period), EVENING (2p-10:30p) shift position, with varied days that may include weekends and holidays. This is located at Encinitas in the Emergency Department.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited university or college (MSW)
    • American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
    • Must be able to display good working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital.
    • Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and appeal procedures as relative to the Federal, State and other reimbursement programs.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Acute care hospital experience
    • Licensed by the State of California Behavioral Science Examiners Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
