    Job Description

    Job Overview:

    Provides technical assistance to computer system users or development teams. Answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail and operating systems. May perform research, testing and documentation.

    Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    Follow processes, develop and update procedures; provide fast, consistent and reliable customer service

    Operates in a support role to other team members, performing both administrative and directed tasksEnter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors

    Stays abreast of the capabilities of related store level systems

    Specialties - Technical Services

    First line of support for all users regarding computer software or hardware related problems

    Escalates hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service

    Supports consists of receiving, logging and troubleshooting all system issues through resolution

    Supports IT goals, objectives and Service Level Agreement are met on a consistent basis

    Specialties - Application Services

    Assists in research to analyze and recreate reported software problems

    Assists in the documentation and definition of problems for development team

    Assists in the testing and documentation of new or modified software and system change requests for quality assurance

    Creates or revises and executes appropriate test scripts

    Assists in the coordination of pilot testing for new software

    Assists in preparing instructional and training materials for store and division personnel on new applications and features or revisions to existing applications

    Performs other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements:

    Education/Certification:

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Experience:

    1-2 years relevant work experience

    Knowledge:

    Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office

    Skills/Abilities:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams

    Ability to manage competing priorities

    Demonstrates the ability to follow direction and produce expected results

    Readily adapts to new systems and processes

    Preferred work experience in retail grocery
