Dr. Jacob Chareski
Postdoctoral fellowships are available in the Laboratory for Next Generation Virtual and Augmented Reality Network Systems directed by Prof. Jacob Chakareski, in the College of Computing at NJIT. Technical aspects of the openings include a self-motivated engagement with the research team of Dr. Chakareski on investigations of mutual interest, leadership in writing research papers and proposals, and engagement in light-weight student mentoring and teaching activities. It is expected that a recruited candidate will lead the submission of two journal and one to two conference papers, annually. Dr. Chakareski and his team will provide ample support and opportunities for creative engagement.
Highly-motivated candidates with background in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, or applied mathematics, and research interests at the broad intersection of networked virtual and augmented reality, optical and millimeter wave mobile wireless networking, 360 video streaming, UAV-IoT sensing and networking, real-time machine learning, and societal applications are encouraged to apply. The openings are renewable every year, pending available funding and meeting performance requirements.
To work on information science and computer graphics. The Post Doc will help design and conduct research, analyze the collected data and prepare for a publication.
Must have qualitative research skills and have a PhD in hand/or within 3 months of appointment. Experience with human subject research.
