Full-Time Shift(s): Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
Working as a Full-Time General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the branch business. Support responsibilities may include purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing and inventory management as needed to assure success of the business. This position is for our branch located at 5911 East Highland, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach/exceed business goals
o Demonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basis
o Effectively communicating business statistics & progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others
o Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel
o Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o A valid driver's license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements
o A degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Possess strong computer skills and math aptitude
o Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate others
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Possess strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Exhibit strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills
o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience
o Prior managerial experience and product knowledge.
