Program Support Supervisor - Pathology Job Summary
The Ideal Candidate:
- This position assists the Division and Department Administrators with the day-to-day operations for all of Pathology Services, ensuring effective support for a large dynamic academic program of Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, which is comprised of Pathologists, Advanced Practice Professionals, Executive & Management Assistants, Fellowship Program, Fellows, and a Pathology Residency Program. This is accomplished by performing or assisting in a vast array of administrative and operational day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. This position directly supervises the day-to-day activities of the administrative support staff to ensure efficient, effective, and timely workflows and process; and to ensure Pathologists' administrative needs are adequately met. In addition, this position assists the Medical Directors of the Fellowship Program with related administrative and operational functions, such as in-processing and out-processing of new fellows.
Demonstrates a high degree of technical competence, intrapersonal skill, and independent critical thinking, attention-to-detail and decision-making.
Clinical administrative professional with the ability to appropriately coordinate, supervise day-to-day operations, and handle sensitive and confidential information Credentials and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance or other relevant field required; Master's Degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in an office, academic, or healthcare setting, with one (1) year proven supervisory experience
Requires knowledge of office processes, workflows, and advanced MS Office applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills, ability to work with a wide variety of people from management assistants to pathologists, and the ability to work well under stress of deadlines and demands in a fast paced environment.
Must be an independent team member that is engaged, proactive, and highly motivated.
