This position will exercise independent judgment and complex management skills to plan, direct and coordinate the overall operations of the Florida Department of Health in Bay County Children's Dentistry Clinic. The incumbent of this position is responsible for the integrity and confidentiality of the data sets under his/her control. The incumbent is responsible for authorizing expenditures, monitoring revenue and financial budgeting for oral health services. The incumbent of this position will come to work and exhibit an attitude of friendliness and eager customer service towards all patients and act respectfully and courteously to fellow employees and patients.
This individual will be responsible for all supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting performance appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.
Responsible for the administrative oversight of the Children's Dentistry Clinic and Clinic Support to include providing direct supervision to the Office Operations Manager I and Dental Support. Direct supervision includes; supervise and evaluate employees, monitor productivity, monitor performance of conduct, review and approve leave, including leave without pay, sick leave and annual leave, monitor attendance reports and review and approve time sheets for employees.
Responsible for reviewing and monitoring the revenue and expenses of the dental annual budget to maintain fiscal integrity. Responsible for reviewing ways to improve the dental annual operating budget to be more efficient and cost effective. Analyzes internal processes and implements procedural and internal policy changes to improve/streamline services without compromising quality. Responsible for preparing monthly reports to review overall operational effectiveness of the dental clinic.
Responsible for monthly status report of dental clinic services, cost of service, and employee productivity (EARS), revenue and expenditures for the dental clinic. Responsible for any/all program reporting to DOH Dental Program Office.
Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance: Develops audit tools to measure quality assurance goals in all areas of providing oral health services to include requirements of regulatory agencies.
Participates in actions to ensure that quality of services and efficiency of operations are in conformity with DOH Dental Program policy, rules, and regulations. Revises monitoring tools as needed to achieve quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and cost-efficient dental care services. Maintains working knowledge of generally acceptable dental practices.
Serves as Dental Liaison for Florida Department of Health in Bay County with local agencies for partnering and collaboration of oral health services. Fosters community partnerships. Communicates with CHD Financial Administrator on a regular basis to include any issues that need to be addressed in a timely manner.
Attends Staff meetings and other meetings as required.
