    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    1. New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
    2. New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program.
    3. The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.
    4. As a CANDIDATE, you may be required to provide documentation (i.e. High School Diploma or Equivalency, College Transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.
    5. Considered an essential worker and will be required to work excessive hours during emergency operations.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a course of study in a field related to computer or information science and Security Plus Certification; OR
    • An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university with a course of study in a field related to computer or information science, two (2) years of professional experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or related field and Security Plus Certification; OR
    • Four (4) years of professional experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or related field and Security Plus Certification.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Administer all SQM information systems to include IEOMS 1.0, IEOMS 2.0, FLAIR, DMAFTS, WORKS, PALM and STMS.
    • Coordinates all pay administration and execution of SAD payroll with the use of IEOMS
    • Manage the information systems security program for the SQM.
    • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
    • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
    • Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
    • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
    • Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
    • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
    • Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
    • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
    • Modify and customize commercial programs for internal needs.
    • Inspect equipment and review order sheets to prepare for delivery to users.
    • Conduct office automation feasibility studies, including workflow analysis, space design, or cost comparison analysis.
    • Virtual Training / artificial intelligence systems specialist.
    • Ensure SQM has the ability to telework.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Knowledge of computer and network standards, policies, and techniques.
    • Knowledge of servers and commercial off the shelf/government off the shelf software to identify corrective or preventative actions to ensure optimum performance.
    • Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems.
    • Skill in troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve conventional problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers.
    • Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions.
    • Ability to train users on new computer systems.
    • Ability to communicate factual and procedural information clearly, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
