Leidos Engineering is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our distribution planning team. It is expected that this role will involve the execution of engineering model development and electrical system studies which may include load flow, short circuit, coordination, or arc flash studies as client needs dictate. This position will require working directly at the client's facility with travel necessary within the clients service territory. The growth potential of this position is significant for the right candidate. While not required, the preferred candidate would possess solid analytical electrical system study experience, including primarily load flow and short circuit studies. Familiarity and experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or experience working at an electric utility, is also considered a plus.
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree is required and 0-2 years of experience.
• Experience with DNV GL's Synergi is preferred
• Must possess strong communication skills, including listening, writing, and presentation skills.
• Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with many different people with diverse backgrounds and geographic locations.
• Occasionally, after hours support would be required to support outage restoration
