Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Geospatial Analyst to join our team to support a highly visible, fast-paced U.S. Army program based in Alexandria, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. As a Geospatial Analyst, you will work alongside a team to develop, test, and deploy advanced geospatial analysis techniques in support of the warfighter and the intelligence enterprise. To be successful, you should have experience exploiting different types of geospatial data (raster, vector, elevation, etc.). An ideal candidate would also have practical experience developing and using geospatial analysis tools for use in Esri or other geospatial analysis platforms. You should also have strong organizational skills, be attentive to detail, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing onsite support at a customer facility.
Primary Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Conduct visualization and analysis in 2D and 3D geospatial environments.
- Assist team in developing scripts and tools to support advanced geospatial analytics, incorporating data from multiple disparate inputs.
- Contribute to the Investigation, troubleshooting, and design of solutions to complex geospatial engineering problems
- Integrate data from disparate data sets/types into a common database for use in analysis and visualization.
- In coordination with Security and Information Assurance procedures, implement safeguard measures to prevent damage and unauthorized modification and disclosure.
- Track, analyze, and communicate commercial technology trends and recommendations to a non-technical audience
- Bachelor's Degree in Geospatial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical fields and a minimum of 6 years of experience or Masters with minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to maintain the clearance
- Working knowledge of Python
- Working knowledge of the Esri suite of products
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (primarily between sites in Maryland and Virginia)
- Knowledge of Distributed Common Ground System -Army (DCGS-A) components with Army Battle Command (ABC) systems and processes preferred
- Experience with Python scripting
- Experience developing Esri portals
- Experience with Geospatial data management
- Working understanding of geospatial data schemas and metadata
