    Nurse Administrator - Psychiatry - Westchester - Per Diem

    The Nurse Administrator is responsible and accountable for the clinical operations of the Nursing Department on an assigned shift to ensure continuity of patient care. Collaborates with Patient Care Directors and others in planning and implementing high quality, safe patient care. Acts as a consultant to staff, and is a member of the Nursing Leadership Team. You will participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of short and long range goals. You will be accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements. You will act as the clinical resource to support professional nursing practice. Liaison between Nursing and other various departments to facilitate optimal patient care. Partner with patient care areas and Patient Care Directors on unit based initiatives that support nursing process, documentation, quality improvement, patient safety, education/professional development, research and community outreach.

    The per diem Nurse Administrator works 8-hour or 12 hour shifts, covering evenings, nights and weekends, as needed. This position is located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health Center.

    Preferred Criteria
    • At-least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience
    • Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Certification
    • Master Degree in Nursing


    Required Criteria
    • 3 years of recent progressive leadership experience
    • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
