Efficiently controls and coordinates the daily schedules of procedures.2. Acts as a liaison and facilitator between other hospital departments and physician offices.3. Maintains appropriate staffing in all the departments of responsibility. Demonstrates appropriate productivity and FTEs.4. Completes QA reports accurately, thoroughly and in a timely manner.5. Follows-up on issues (QA, staff, patient and physician complaints) and completes in a timely and thorough manner.6. Assists with interviewing, hiring and termination of employees.7. Assures all evaluations are completed fairly, accurately, and prior to due date.8. Maintains current policy and procedures for departments of responsibility.9. Improves practices to contain and improve expenses; institutes cost containment measures. Evaluates and maintains appropriate inventory controls.10. Performs direct patient care as needed.11. Identifies needs and recommends programs for staff development and education.12. Ensures staff meetings are schedules; informs staff of changes and hospital events.13. Assists with the coordination of students within the departments of responsibility.14. Assures appropriate instrumentation and supplies are available and properly maintained for the procedures as schedules.15. Interprets and enforces hospital and department policies and procedures.16. Assists with operational and capital budget planning, implementation, and controls.17. Actively participates in hospital committees.18. Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.19. Demonstrates knowledge of computer systems and utilization. Is able to educate and trouble-shoot with staff.20. Maintains knowledge of government (Title 22, JCAHO, Nurse Practice Act, etc.) and assures departmental compliance.21. Performs all other duties as assigned.
A. Minimum Education: BS degree preferred. If an RN: education necessary to obtain RN license in the state of California and current California RN license. Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
B. Minimum Experience: Recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab clinical care, knowledge of the management aspects of the units of supervision, and progressive experience in management of Cardiology and/or cardiology services preferred.
