    Level of experience/Education:
    •United States citizen and an active secret clearance
    •United States Navy experience
    •Possess knowledge of the Navy's combat systems particularly in one or more of the following:
    oAir Control/ Air Intercept Controllers (AIC)
    oElectronic Warfare (EW)
    oData Links (Link-11 and Link-16) and Strike Group Interoperability (SGI), as well as interfacing sensors and ship systems.
    oHard kill/ engagements. Knowledge and experience are required with Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) weapon system, the NATO Sea Sparrow Surface Missile System (NSSMS), fire control radars, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), as well as interfacing sensors and ship systems, and/or:
    •Three (3) years General experience in the engineering, design, development, or testing and evaluation of a Navy combat system with two (2) years of recent experience in any of the following:
    oTest requirements definition
    oTest Plan/Procedures development, maintenance, and execution
    oTest data reduction and analysis
    oComputer program performance analysis and reporting
    •Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is a plus.
    •Experience with the Next Generation Simulation (NGS) is a plus


    The Systems Engineer/ Analyst provides technical, engineering, and analytical services for Test and Evaluation (T&E) of the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) for aircraft carriers and large deck amphibious ships as well as the combat system elements being integrated with SSDS. The T&E effort supports the government's responsibility to determine if the combat system is ready to be delivered to the ship and certified for use in the fleet.
    The position duties include the evaluation of system level requirements, writing of test cases, scenarios, and test procedures to fully test the capabilities of the system requirements, execution of the procedures, data analysis, and the creation of concise trouble reports to allow the system developers and subject matter experts to understand a recreate the problem identified and well as characterize the impact to the overall system capabilities.
    The position requires working within a multi-contractor/ government integrated test team and supporting the government test directors with additional backup data, research and analysis to support the test findings and recommendation on software certification.
    The primary work location is Dahlgren, VA, but the position requires about 20% travel primarily to Wallops Island, Virginia to support test events and requires flexibility for short notice test site support for emergent testing that can occur on a daily basis due to adjustments to planned events.
