    Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Property Disposal Specialist to join our team in the Manassas, VA area.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Responsible for receiving property to turn-in and prepare for disposal.
    • Responsible for transferring Department of Defense (DoD) excess personnel property to Defense Logistics Agency.
    • Responsible for identifying demilitarization property and its applicable requirements.
    • Ensures the correct classification of condition codes for turned-in items.
    • Responsible for generating and submitting Equipment Relocation Request (ERR) to government lead for approval.
    • Responsible for accountable records, adjustments, inventory corrections, and monitors the record status of inventory in Maximo.
    • Responsible for generating DD Form 1348-1A per DLA and local SOPs.
    • Responsible for submitting and coordinating turn-in request through the DLA Disposal Services Representative.
    • Ensures proper handling, storage and accountability of excess or surplus property to prevent damage, loss, or personal injury.
    • Assists in the coordination, scheduling, and other aspects of the property disposal function.
    • Provides assistance to Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Agencies and authorized donor customers in screening and selecting property for reutilization.
    • Performs a variety of property disposal, control and advisory activities such as advising on the destruction, demilitarization or abandonment of property.
    • Resolves a variety of conventional problems and situations in carrying out all phases of the disposal of excess and surplus government property.
    • Responsible for accountable records, adjustments, inventory corrections, and monitors the record status of inventory.
    • Ensures proper handling, storage and accountability of excess or surplus property to prevent damage, loss, or personal injury.
    • Responsible for packing, packaging, palletizing, labelling boxes for transport per DLA and ILSC SOP.
    • Generate and maintain Disposal Turn-in Document register for tracking purposes
    • Responsible for updating turn-in status in Maximo after completion.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Ability to travel up to 25%.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint.
    • Excellent written and communication skills.
    • Ability to drive up to a 24 foot truck.
    • Must have Bachelor degree and 3-5 years of related experience.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in recommending solutions that improve customer satisfaction andor the mission of the customer.
    • Experience with policy and engineering technical writing.
    Security Clearance Requirements:
    • An active and current TS/SCI clearance is required.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
    • The person in this position needs to be able to lift equipment up to 50 pounds unaided.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
    • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
    • The person in this position needs to be able to safely operate a box truck up to 24 feet in length.
    • The person in this position must be able to operate a walk-behind forklift.
    • The person in this position will need to be able to stoop, crouch, and kneel for conducting inventories and relocating equipment.
