Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, Cyber Subject Matter Expert in to join our team in the Herndon Virginia.

    This rewarding and challenging position will support USCYBERCOM to produce an enterprise capability for the DoD to improve cyberspace operations and defend U.S. vital national security interests. Work is estimated to begin in the July/August 2020 timeframe.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Performs a variety of Cyber-related tasks that are broad in nature and are related to development and integration, assessment and management of system architecture, system design, risk reduction, implementation and integration, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment for Cyber systems
    • The scope of tasks includes, but is not limited to: software engineering/development, system engineering, collection, computer science, communications, networks, program management, and technical assistance
    • Serves as an expert on projects for customers and project teams
    • Provides senior guidance and support to development teams on technical and programmatic requirements, and support requirements analysis and derivation tasks
    • Conducts technical studies, analyses, and evaluations to improve organizational knowledge of doctrine, organizational effectiveness, training, leadership, contractor personnel status, and gaps
    • Advises on viability of alternative approaches
    • Conduct extensive interaction and maintain working relationships among various representatives of the Intelligence Community (e.g. military services, customers, and vendors)
    Security Clearance Requirement:
    • Individuals must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
    Position Requirements:
    • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of overall work experience in the subject area
    • Considered an "expert" in a specific need related to the Cyber mission (this can include domain expertise, technical/software expertise) as demonstrated by experience, certifications, training, and education
    • Professional experience should include expertise in any one of the following areas as they relate to Cyber: Software Engineering, Systems Administration, System Engineering, Technical Analysis, Hardware Engineering, Research Scientist, or Malware
    • Individuals must be a U.S. Citizen and be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance
    • Applicants will be subject to a government security background investigation
    • Note: A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of experience, or a Master of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related discipline may be substituted for six (6) years' experience
    Physical Requirements:
    • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
    • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
    • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
