Mini Melts USA, Inc., a unique, fast-growing ice cream manufacturer and nationwide distributor based in Norwich CT, is seeking a versatile Full Time Office Assistant. This new team member’s duties and responsibilities will include providing efficient, detail-oriented support to the GM, office staff, managers and other employees through a variety of tasks related to Customer Service, Order Entry, Logistics and Organization. The position requires professional and effective face-to-face, phone and email communication and follow-through to ensure that all duties are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Answering and directing phone calls.
Greeting Customers and other Visitors.
Processing incoming customer orders, creating packing slips/invoices and sending completed invoices as directed.
Processing FedEx and UPS shipments.
Daily LTL and truckload freight scheduling as directed.
Utilizing in-house spreadsheets to track Freight shipments and costs.
Communicating shipping tracking information to customers.
Tracking all freight from our door to desitination.
Providing assistance to GM and Controller as needed.
Qualified applicants should possess excellent communication skills; a "can do" attitude; strong quantitative and inter-personal skills; and be able to effectively multi-task and prioritize assignments. Experience working in a busy office atmosphere a must. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and basic accounting knowledge is required. SAP Business One experience is a plus!
