SSI is an 8(m) economically disadvantaged woman owned small business (EDWOSB), providing cleared professionals and solutions for the Department of Defense, Department of State, Special Operations, and Intelligence Community. SSI provides instructors, cultural advisors, linguists, interpreters, translators, subject matter experts, advisors, mentors, role players, training support specialists, training delivery officers, intelligence analysts, counterintelligence (CI) specialists, technical support, field technicians, security professionals, logistics specialists, operations coordinators, budget specialists, administrative support specialists, emergency medical technicians (EMT), exercise controllers (EXCON), mission managers, project managers, program managers for a wide variety of mission critical requirements.

This position will be stationed in Germantown, MD.

Position Summary

This is administrative work performing non-routine research and administrative tasks related to the coordination and oversight of projects to ensure timely and effective support. The purpose of this position is to support and coordinate field operations resources and other work order requests on a daily basis. This position does not supervise and reports directly to the VP of Operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Proctor and schedule foreign/ English Language Testing
  • Coordinate and submit schedule request, travel and hotel accommodations for training(s) related to State Department contract (FACT, IFAM, AFAM)
  • Assist with ordering and preparing supporting materials for corporate office, operations department and missions.
  • Arrange travel arrangements, such as flights and rental cars, and hotel reservations for employees when needed
  • Update Running Expense Report by request
  • Reconcile, code and provide detailed explanation of American Express and Capital One expenses
  • Create Per Diem for State Department (Kabul, Afghanistan) and submit to payroll.
  • Approve meals per diem in Cost Point for State Department (Iraq)
  • Receive and redirect Faxes
  • Update Postage machine
  • Order and mail "Field Employee" Birthday cards
  • Assist with Birthday/Anniversary items and cards
  • Alternate breakfast pickup
  • Assist with FedEx labels by request

Nonessential Functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Order lunch for meetings when needed
  • Assist with running errands and order miscellaneous items

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience (entry level)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree


  • Computer literacy, MS Office, Time Management, and Payroll Systems
  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, Federal Express, UPS, etc.
