Position Title: Store Production Job Identification: • Immediate Supervisor: Store Manager. • Wage: $14/hour. • EEOC Class: Labors and Helpers. • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Job Summary: The Production employee will sort, clean and price incoming merchandise. Provide excellent customer service that promotes positive, long-term customer relationships. Duties/Responsibilities: • Greets and assists customers while on the sales floor. • Sorts and inspects donations in a safe manner. • Places items that cannot be sold into boxes or barrels for salvage and separates by category. • Cleans items as needed. • Prices all merchandise according to value. • Keeps accurate records of all items priced. • Brings out processed merchandise onto sales floor and assists as needed with proper distribution and display. • Demonstrates reliable attendance. • Performs upkeep around the backroom and store to ensure a safe and clean facility. • Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.
Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent customer service skills. • Visual acuity. • Color vision. • Manual dexterity. • Walking and standing up to 8 hours. • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. • Knowledgeable about company’s mission and services, and customer-related policies. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing (up to 8 hours). • Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds at times. • Ability to bend/squat/stoop. • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time. • Free from drug and alcohol abuse. Equipment, machines and tools used: • Hand truck. • Gaylords. • Rolling racks. • Rolling bins. • Dennison price-tag gun. • L-57 label dispenser. • Tape dispenser. • Adding machine or calculator. • Cleaning supplies. Personal Protective Equipment Used – Assigned at orientation/as needed: • Face Mask • Hand sanitizer (available at worksite) • Disinfectant wipes (available at worksite) • Gloves
