Position Description: Responsible for overseeing hospital policies and procedures, as well as the requirements of TJC and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies as they relate to infection prevention sterilization processes. Responsibilities include collaboration in the development and implementation of best practice based on research and recognized practice standards and recommendations.
Position Requirements: REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Bachelor's degree Current RN licensure in state of employment Five years of surgical services experience, including sterile processing Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) and certified in Central Processing as Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Analytical and interpersonal skills Exemplary written and oral communication skills
Master's degree in nursing or health-care related field Two years of management or specialty team leader experience Certification in infection control
