    Job Description

    The Planning Specialist will be part of a team responsible for the production planning and material readiness of all phases of Manufacturing at the Frederick site. This role is responsible for ensuring NPI readiness supporting Planning activities using best practices in supply planning and materials planning, ERP systems and project management to support NPI projects. This individual works within a supply chain team assisting Bill of Material (BOM), and Routing set up, inventory levels and strategies.


    Percentage of Time Spent Job Function

    40% Daily planning operations supporting the manufacturing facility; planning for and ensuring availability of raw materials, components, and resources per the site's detailed manufacturing schedule and capacity plan. Review production records to provide impact assessments and address associated inventory transactions in the ERP system. Generate Item Branch reports and ensuring all Production Planning master data is accurate. Generate daily and weekly WO and Inventory reports utilized within Planning.

    40% Support New Product Introduction to Frederick. Work with internal teams, including Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and MSE. Understand material requirements, identify risks and create strategies to mitigate risk. Provide material readiness assessments to internal and external stakeholders.

    20% ERP System Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provide training and perform testing for E1 Production Planning as needed. Develop and maintain associated procedures and work instructions to ensure accurate use of the ERP system. Drive E1 enhancements to utilize existing functionality, to drive efficiency in Planning processes.

    This individual will work within the Supply Chain Planning Team and cross-functional stakeholders to understand material requirements, program timing and ERP system functionality to successfully plan for production activities.

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • APICS CPIM and CSCP preferred

    • 3-7 years of Planning experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
