    Position Description:
    General Summary Statement
    Provides comprehensive, quality nursing care through application of the nursing process. Adheres to Nursing Policies and Procedures and Organizational Goals and Objectives.

    We are currently seeking top talent for our L&D unit. As an L&D RN, you're part of a team that is focused on providing a safe and fulfilling childbirth experience, not just for mothers and their new babies, but for the entire family. Our Maternal Child Health Team is nationally regarded for providing exceptional clinical care and a comprehensive array of childbirth services.
    Features of our Labor and Delivery unit include:
    Over 2,600 babies delivered each year
    10 birthing suites
    2 surgical suites and 3 recovery rooms
    State-of-the-art equipment
    "The Welcome Hour" for mother-baby bonding

    Minimum Requirements:
    Education Training and Experience
    Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.

    Experience preferred, however training and specialty specific education programs are provided during orientation, and must be successfully completed as scheduled.
    Basic computer skills: keyboard, mouse use. Ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens. Ability to use email and internet. Ability to successfully complete on the job training for CCH computer programs. Ability to practice critical thinking and organizational skills. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

    Current Pennsylvania RN License.
    CPR certification required. Certification in clinical specialty is preferred.

    Must meet specialty specific competency requirements per the job description.

    L&D: NRP and ACLS certification required, or must complete within 12 months of hire. Completion of a
    AWHONN fetal monitoring program within 12 months of hire.

    Work Environment and Hazards
    Direct patient care areas on nursing unit. Risk of exposure to potentially hazardous materials and body fluids. May become involved in crisis situations.
