POSITION SUMMARY
MartinFederal has an opening for a highly motivated Full-Stack Software Engineerto build several enterprise systems related to world health events. This is an unique opportunity to have a major impact in supporting the Defense community with necessary medical intelligence.

We embrace Agile values and use continuous integration inside of a robust DevOps environment. The successful candidate will be expected to think creatively, and use judgment to prioritize multiple efforts to meet evolving Medical Intelligence challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, design, build, test and implement solutions using Structured Query Language (SQL) and PostgreSQ
  • Manage, monitor and administer database system performance and schedule activities
  • Perform backups/restores, and archive data
  • Perform optimization and tuning of data loads and extraction
  • Design conceptual data model(s), data models, data naming standards, enterprise data dictionary, and data/information flows
  • Review current database architecture and propose solutions to scale processing and reporting functionality
  • Communicate with relevant data stakeholders to research and help resolve data lineage, data anomalies and/or data quality issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass a CI Poly
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience working within an Agile team. Computer Science or related degree preferred
  • Experience writing code with languages such as Java.
  • Demonstrated experience developing with Java-based MVC frameworks such as the Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Experience interfacing with SOAP and RESTful web services and APIs
  • Demonstrated experience developing software with Hibernate ORM on relational databases such as MySQL,PostgreSQL and Oracle, and ability to write SQL queries
  • Experience developing user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular2, and NodeJS
  • Experience with Java-based unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Spock, and EasyMock
  • Experience with search and index engines such as Solr or Elasticsearch
  • Work with Angular (4+), RXJS, Bootstrap 4, Git, Html/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Work with Apache Tomcat, and Maven

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building and managing infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience using AWS services for search, serverless compute, storage
