    Join TDS Telecom as aConsumer Sales Advisor-Outboundwhere you will be a key contributor in TDSs overall consumer strategy to grow and delight our customers by finding and meeting needs. This position works in multiple channels to generate sales. As anAdvisoryou will place outbound calls based on a lead list and completes the sale of products and/or services. In addition, this position is responsible for handling sales and service through our Chat channel. This position also responds to leads generated through our website and through campaigns generated from our Marketing team. Selling is the primary function of this position. The Consumer Sales Advisor-Outbounduses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, submitting orders, and/or troubleshooting. They may need to answer customer inquiries and resolve problems.

    This position takes ownership of thoroughly understanding the features and benefits of all the consumer products and services we offer. The Advisor also keeps current on all pricing, procedures, promotions, tools, and systems used to place orders, update billing and maintain record of customer contacts.

    In addition to base pay and an excellent benefits package, the Advisor is assigned monthly sales goals established for key strategic products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, and Premium services. The Advisor must meet these goals and maintain customer service quality expectations for additional commission incentive programs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver Sales Results through Exceptional Multi-Channel Sales:Exceed or Meet Monthly Sales Goals of Strategic Products such as but not limited to, Voice, High Speed Data, TV and Premium Product Offerings.
    • The Multi-Channel Advisor may also answer customer inquiries from the chat application as well as from all other sales leads via the web.
    • Keeps current with Promotions, Products and Technology necessary to Exceeding or Meeting Sales Goals.
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • 6+ months experience in a sales role
    • 2+ years experience using a PC with various software packages
    • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines to meet our customers needs

    Other Qualifications

    • 6+ months experience in a fast paced environment managing multiple tasks
    • 6+ months experience working with detailed data
    • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals
    • 45 WPM
    • Regular attendance and promptness for work are essential functions of this position because absenteeism and tardiness significantly impact the ability of the Company and coworkers to meet our customers' needs.
    • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment
    • Understanding of the telecommunication industry
    • Understanding of telecommunication products and services
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (i.e., verbal, written, listening)
    • Problem solving skills (i.e. customer complaints, competitive issues)
    • Successful completion of classroom training will be required
    • Demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment
    • Able to Work Overtime with Advance Notice
