Assistant Store Manager - Full-time

Once Upon A Child is a locally owned and operated retail store that buys and sells new and gently used kids clothing, shoes, toys, books, furniture, baby equipment and more. We offer gently used, brand name products at a great value! At Once Upon A Child, safety and product quality are our top priorities. Once Upon A Child is looking for a friendly, energetic, self-motivated, ambitious individual to join our team. This is a fast-paced business and previous Retail Management experience is required. The Assistant Manager will assist and lead daily activities such as buying products from our customers, pricing, managing the customer experience, leading team members, training employees and resolving conflicts. Other responsibilities will include loss prevention and promoting a high level of Customer Service. Requirements:

• Strong leadership skills
• Proven ability to achieve Sales Goals
• Organizational skills
• Proven Customer service skills
• Computer literate and able to operate computerized sales terminals
• Ability to perform effectively and safely in an environment where there is constant change
• Capable of making quick and appropriate decisions to meet customer and employee needs
• Lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
• Bending, rotating, and reaching in a retail environment.
