The Associate Actuarial Analyst will be compiling claims, revenue and statistical data for a variety of projects, such as producing monthly reserving reports, projecting claims, developing rates and identifying medical trends. Other responsibilities may include expense cost projections, unpaid claim reserve cost estimates and compiling various financial reports. The Analyst will provide complex analytical and technical support for pricing, experience analysis, reserving and product development. The Analyst will conduct and document complex analysis and research. Strong communication skills will be necessary as the position will work with a variety of team members (actuarial and non-actuarial). Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares, forecasts and analyzes trends
- Provides detailed summaries, reports and recommendations to assist in managerial decision making
- Initiate, compile and prepare complex analytical models, tools and databases
- Support pricing process
- Summarize claims data used for reserve estimates
- Effectively communicate results and technical concepts through written documentation and oral presentation

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field
- Minimum of one actuarial exam completed
- 1+ years of experience working with health insurance data and/or in actuarial role preferred
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access is a plus
- Experience using data processing software such as SQL, SAS, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
