    Project Manager

    Position Description/Job Responsibilities:
    • KBR is looking for a motivated, energetic and project management-oriented career professional to lead and manage challenging projects conducting non-recurring engineering activities in order to modernize and sustain USAF weapon systems at the component, assembly, LRU or SRU level while optimizing availability, reliability and maintainability
    • The Project Manager will be responsible for addressing reliability, sustainment, DMSMS issues, obsolescence, reverse engineering, and redesign
    • This position will report to a Program Manager and ensure budget, schedule and scope are maintained
    • The selected candidate will ensure all project controls are in place and tracked
    • The Project Manager will effectively manage the statement of work with our customer and our teammates to ensure all deliverables are successfully developed and delivered
    • The selected candidate must be able to effectively interface with the Government customer and our industry teammates at the technical level in support of the Program Manager
    • This work provides capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and test programs
    • The Project Manager will be directly in charge of a team consisting of engineers, analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science preferred
    • Minimum five (5) years of project planning, implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and administration of Government Projects
    • Successful past performance in managing complex USAF weapons system/engineering projects preferred
    • Project Management Professional PMI Certification preferred
    • Proficient in Earned Value Management preferred
    • Experience in leading Integrated Product Teams preferred
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems and innovate solutions preferred
    • Strong verbal, technical writingand communication skills preferred
    • Proficient in MS Project/Integrated Master Schedules
    • Position may require moderate travel
    • Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
