    Job Description

    Riverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time IT Help Desk Specialist to join our team.

    Job Summary:

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Providing technical assistance and support for incoming questions and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware

    • Training computer users on basic usage of computer systems

    • Maintaining daily performance of computer systems

    • Walking customers through problem-solving processes to find root cause of system issues

    • Installing, modifying, cleaning up, and repairing computer hardware, software, workstations, and servers

    • Running diagnostic programs and asking questions to determine nature of problem, and then resolving problems

    • Resolving technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems

    • Installing computer peripherals for users

    • Responding to questions from customers seeking help either via email, in person, or over the phone

    • Following up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved

    • Using company's systems management tool to monitor events, manage ticket system, and ensure clients' environments are running optimally

    • Doing network cabling installation work (pulling, terminating, troubleshooting, climbing ladders)

    • Performing other related duties as assigned


    What You'll Need:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications preferred but not required

    • 1-year experience in similar role preferred but not required

    • Must be available for varying shifts depending on customers' needs

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to work efficiently within a team

    • Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver's license (part of the responsibilities will be to drive a company vehicle)

    • Ability to travel when required (10%-15% travel)

    • Must have ability to lift 60 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques

    • Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
