Job Description
Job Summary:The Accreditation Specialist is a subject matter expert and specialist in the processes to achieve and maintain accreditation for programs, services, and delegation oversight. Ensures organizational survey readiness for accreditation, including but not limited to, NCQA. Responsible for activities to implement and maintain accreditation standards and compliance with delegated service oversight with internal and external partners and health insurance plans.
Supports department Quality strategies and liaises with all levels of staff and executive leadership including representatives from external partners, vendors, and accreditation organizations.
Education - Required:- Bachelor's Degree in health management, public health, nursing, or other related field
Education - Preferred:- Master's Degree in health management, public health, nursing, or other related field
Experience - Required:- 3 years Experience in quality, accreditation, and/or regulatory and compliance in a health insurance, population health, or community health setting. and
- 3 years Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
Experience - Preferred:- 1 year Experience with NCQA, HEDIS/CAHPS, health plan operations, compliance, or other managed health care quality standards and
- 1 year Experience with project management and quality improvement programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Preferred:- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat PDF editing software
Licensure - Preferred:- CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
