In the Sr. Electrical Engineering Manager position, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of key engineering employees engaged in the electrical design of complex, highly automated, electronics assembly systems.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibile for interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work and appraising performance.
  • Assure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department.
  • Develop workforce planning and utilization programs to satisfy actual and projected requirements; Includes the scheduling of overtime and cost/effective use of temporary services.
  • Implement cross-training activities and plans for employees with specific attention toward the development of a highly flexible work force.
  • Establish and implement team/individual Critical Success Factors, including the measurement and documentation of the progress of each employee toward the established goals.

TO BE QUALIFIED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a BSEE or BS in Computer Engineering. MSEE is a plus.
  • 10+ years of circuit design experience with analog & digital circuits; Experience with motion & control systems a plus.
  • 3+ years exposure to Embedded C Programming.
  • 3+ years exposure to VHDL or Verilog FPGA Programming.
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience leading cross functional engineering teams globally.
  • 2+ years of project management and engineering management within product development.
  • Must have direct experience working with Cross-Functional teams through a phase-gate Product Development Process from concept to end of life.
  • Must have direct experience with using and managing CAE, PLM, GIT and other release management tools.
  • Experience with Common Electrical Engineering CAD tools (AutoCAD electrical; OrCAD; Cadence; Allegro; LTSpice;)

JOB LOCATION: This position is locate at the company headquarters in the Binghamton, New York area. A relocation package will be provided for successful candidates who are not now located in that area. For those not familiar with this region of New York State, it is a great place to live and raise a family.
