    Job Description


    Assistin the day-to-day supervision to achieve customer satisfaction and qualityservice while assuring compliance with policies and Standard OperatingProcedures. Conducts inspections for cleanliness anduphold standards of daily staff of 16-20 employees effectively.
    EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

    Listenand respond to guest inquiries in a professional manner. Answer questions and offer assistance byproviding accurate information on services relating to hotel, casino and thecity.

    SupervisesCross Property Housekeeping Hourly staff, assist with interviews, evaluationand progressive discipline action when required.

    Implementand monitor departmental/hotel policies and procedures to ensure qualityservice.

    Mustenforce all OSHA and Safety policies and procedures

    Initiatespositive or corrective action when standards are being consistently met orneglected

    Superviseand monitor daily work performance of all hourly Housekeeping staff ensuringthe completion of their duties and any other assigned work. Ensure all keys areproperly secured at all times.

    Compiledepartmental work schedules and monitor workload to ensure a proper balance ofwork.

    Communicateeffectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

    Resolveguest problems efficiently and in a courteous manner.

    Generate,review and analyze a variety of reports on a daily basis in order to monitorefficiency and costs.

    Provideinput into both short and long-term goals and assist in implementing specific strategiesto achieve the goals.

    Maintainwork area in a clean and safe manner.

    Reportproblems found in operation and any unsafe equipment or unusual situationsrequiring action.

    Reportall maintenance discrepancies and situations in a timely manner and effectivelyfollows through.

    Ensuresall tower public areas are cleaned and well maintained upholding hotelstandards.

    Monitorsall supplies and amenity levels in assigned areas.

    Worksclosely with Managers communicating accurate room status information to thefront office staff.

    Abilityto make good sound judgment decisions regarding employee and guest safety aswell as professional customer service skills.

    Mustbe familiar with guestroom cleaning techniques to include industrial carpet andfloor care, as well as basic guestroom cleaning.

    Attend all training classes as directed by the company.

    Attend and participate in pre-shift department meetings.


    Job Specifications

    Mustpossess good writing skills and be able to read, write and communicate fluentlyin English. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills a must.

    Mustpresent a neat and professional appearance.

    Workrequires flexibility to work various shifts and properties.

    Workprefers Bilingual abilities.

    Knowledgeof collective bargaining agreement helpful.

    2Years previous Housekeeping supervisory experience preferred

    Abilityto make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.

    Abilityto access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.

    Abilityto perceive quality of work, read material and review documents; receiveinstructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients or staff.

    Abilityto remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm duringemergency situations.

    Abilityto act independently while analyzing data and drawing conclusions from writtenand computer-generated materials.

    Abilityto bend, stoop or kneel, climb, ascend and descent stairs.

    Abilityto stand and walk for the duration of a shift.

    Working Conditions

    Fastpaced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraints. Must be able to lift up to 40lb and handlesensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner. Must be flexible and able to work multipleproperties as assigned.
