    We have a client based in Walnut Creek who is looking for an assistant project manager. This position will be based either in their office, or the project site which is in Milpitas.

    This position is open for candidates with strong mixed-use and multifamily experience.


    • Responsible to assist the Senior Project Manager to meet daily project needs for quality control, safety, and schedule.
    • Assist the Contract Administrator with their duties in the process all contract documents.
    • Work with the project team to establish a project budget.
    • Establish an approved list of qualified bidders.
    • Create project scopes of work.
    • Distribute any bulletins/addendums for bids.
    • Accumulate bids and establish solid relationships with trade partners.
    • Develop a Spreadsheet of bidders for presentation.
    • Negotiate with subcontractors to meet the project budget.
    • Value Engineer project as required.
    • Establish project schedules.
    • Manage project buyout.
    • Create a project (owner and subcontractor) change orders & RFI’s as required.
    • Manage project closeout.
    • Compile Warranty literature/documents.
    • Perform site visits.
    • Review project buyout, scopes of work, and subcontractor list with Project Manager at the start of the project.
    • Assist in Plan submittals with the city agencies.


    • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required.
