Jevan is looking for a multi-family renovation project manager. The ideal candidate is someone who excels at planning, organization, process, execution, has meticulous attention for detail, but still has the ability to be a creative problem solver. The candidate must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ongoing ability to develop effective and productive professional relationships with the internal project team (project coordinators, superintendents, and foremen) is a must. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a smaller, fast-paced organization.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and implement the project schedule
  • Review and redline project plans and specifications for correctness, take-offs and potential construction problems
  • Responsible for initial project budgets, bidding with subcontractors, buying out the project, hiring of the subcontractors
  • Subcontract Administration – Review all contracts and purchase orders. Process and approve monthly draw requests
  • Write and review Scopes of Work 
  • Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis
  • Review & code all invoices for payment
  • Accept only high construction standards and quality control
  • Ensure quality design elements are constructed per plan and/or per contract
  • Ensure all required third-party and municipal inspections are performed and passed
  • Manage and expedite project punch-lists per trade
  • Maintains records and prepares reports
  • Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings.
  • Prepare minutes of all project meetings
  • Prepare daily construction logs and composes correspondence relative to work
  • Inform company leadership of any errors, discrepancies or omissions as they pertain to the plans and subcontractor pricing
  • Present all change order requests to company leadership

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of direct experience as a Project Manager for Single Family, Multi-Family, Townhomes, and/or Condominium construction projects
  • Required to use a personal computer and smartphone and be familiar with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Must have understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts
  • Thorough knowledge of the standards, codes, building construction processes, procedures and regulations pertaining to the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities
  • Thorough knowledge of construction specifications, contract documents and the bid process
  • Some knowledge of standards of a finished product in building construction, alteration, and repair and knowledge of building trades
  • Ability to instruct, direct, and evaluate contractors
  • Ability to organize and set priorities for work assignments, to assign and explain them to project team members
  • Ability to make cost studies and estimates
  • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to the work
  • Ability to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications, schematic diagrams and isometric drawings
  • Work from a job trailer or at an on-site/offsite office. Walks the jobsite several times a day as a result requiring the ability to physically negotiate the hazards of a new project worksite/work areas (e.g. uneven surfaces, floor openings, heights, installation debris and poor lighting)
