Chick-fil-A Sanford Marketing Internship Leadership Development Program

Chick-fil-A Sanford is seeking candidates to join our Leadership Development Program through a paid internship position. The position is a minimum twelve-month commitment. The purpose of this program is to identify and hire students who have an interest in receiving hands on experience in operating a business and leading a team. The Chick-fil-A Sanford Leadership Development Program provides a challenging hands on business experience with opportunities to learn about our culture, practice and learn business skills in a live environment, as well as social and networking opportunities. Chick-fil-A started in 1946, when Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant, Dwarf Grill, in Hapeville, Georgia. Since then, Chick-fil-A has steadily grown to become the largest quick service chicken restaurant chain in the United States with over 2,300 stores with earnings of over 10 billion dollars in sales in 2018. Chick-fil-A is consistently ranked number one in customer satisfaction. Chick-fil-A is still privately held and family owned. With 51 consecutive years of positive sales growth, Chick-fil-A has set itself apart by pioneering innovations and delicious products-including the ever-popular Chick-fil-A®Chicken Sandwich. In 2017 Chick-fil-A provided $8.8 million dollars in scholarships to 3,439 team members. Each Chick-fil-A is locally owned by the Chick-fil-A Operator creating hundreds of jobs in their local communities.

Candidate Requirements:

̈ Working to complete their undergraduate degree

̈ Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during the semester and fulltime during the summer

̈ Two recommendations from professors

̈ Two professional references

Job Responsibilities

̈ Work along side the Marketing and Catering Coordinators to build sales while expanding Chick-fil-A Sanford’s community reach

̈ Plan and execute special events

̈ Attend and represent Chick-fil-A Sanford at community events

̈ Assist in executing the marketing/catering plan in the store and community

̈ Deliver and ensure that all Team Members genuinely deliver our Recipe for Service to every guest on every visit

̈ Be certified and competent in training modules that directly relate to marketing/catering and hold others accountable to those standards.

Schedule:

̈ Part time Monday-Saturday during the semester. Full time during the summer. We are flexible with school schedules and are closed on Sundays.
