    Job Description

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Overview The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) develops and operates unique and innovative overhead reconnaissance systems, conducts intelligence-related activities essential for United States national security, and supports the nation's military and war fighting missions. The Director of NRO's Systems Engineering Directorate (SED) serves as the NRO Chief Architect and Chief Systems Engineer, accountable for the success of the NRO Mission Enterprise and the development of the NRO Mission Architecture. The RAWHIDE contract provides the Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Director, SED for aligning architecture, requirements, strategic plans, and programmatic factors within the NRO. In this capacity, RAWHIDE also provides NRO/SED with the requisite support to ensure that the NRO is responsive to, and in alignment with, external Government agencies such as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and Congress. ****Two InTec Engineers currently fill roles that include Requirements Maturation and RFC Development, Data Product Analysis and Definition, Requirements Engineer Team Leadership, Project Contractor Point of Contact (CPOC), and Document and Working Group Leadership Roles. Position Description (generic for Rawhide systems engineers) • The InTec Engineer will fill critical systems engineering and systems engineering roles within the Office of the Chief Engineer, Office of Mission Engineering, Office of Enterprise Analysis, and Office of the Chief Architect. • Engineers contribute in the areas of Requirements Maturation, Schedules, Verification, Validation and Test, Mission Data Definition, Team Leadership, Architecture Analysis, and CONOPs.. • The RAWHIDE/InTec Team is a professionally demanding lean agile organization with unlimited growth opportunity for Engineers that demonstrate Initiative, Proactivity, and a willingness to exercise their full potential in Systems Engineering and Systems Integration. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor degree in STEM (advanced degree desired) and 1-3 years of related experience • Current TS/SCI with CI Poly (clearable by the NRO) • Good understanding of MS Office apps • Aptitude for SETA work • Effective interpersonal skills & ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Expertise in the design and implementation of advanced overhead intelligence architectures • Experience with IC collectors, transport, infrastructure, and/or processing • Knowledge of user mission needs and the operational environment ***APPLICANTS SELECTED WILL BE SUBJECT TO A GOVERNMENT SECURITY INVESTIGATION AND MUST MEET ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO CLASSIFIED INFORMATION.
