MetroStar Systems is looking for a Director of Business Development, Department of Justice (DOJ) to expand and grow our Law Enforcement portfolio. Our ideal candidate is passionate about creating growth opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment, and shaping multiple opportunities. This role provides a unique opportunity to make an impact and have ownership over a critical growth pillar for our organization. You're a great fit if you have: * Deep relationships in the Department of Justice and their sub agencies
* Working knowledge of leading edge technologies (i.e., Cloud, DevSecOps, Cyber, Engineering) and solutioning
* An obsessive focus on strategic alignment, growth, and winning deals
You'll love our position if you have: (This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit) * 7+ years of BD and/or capture experience, at least 5 of which have been at a strategic leadership level
* Recent (within the last 3 years), notable relationships within the Department of Justice and their sub agencies
* Experience pursuing and winning WPRs on DOJ ITSS 3 or 4 . * Deep understanding of government procurement, and broader federal contracts, regulations, and procedures
* A passion for problem solving and helping customers understand how emerging technologies can help them achieve their missions
* The ability to travel to other U.S. cities as required to conduct capture activities, and foster relationships During a typical day, you will: * Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Navy and Marine Corps through a variety of sources
* Develop relationships with GS-13+ levels across the Department of Justice
* Participate in industry groups and conferences to represent and promote our company's capabilities
* Support responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
* Provide weekly reporting and analysis of the business development pipeline (housed in CRM), and pitch new deals and strategies to strengthen that pipeline
* Develop, present, and own a sales/account plan, which aligns the leadership and support teams in order to ensure success
