World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) has an opportunity for a Sr Systems Engineer to work in Fort Bragg, NC supporting our Government Services Department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; The design and delivery of Network & Security solutions of varying complexity to end customer in accordance with their pre-determined roadmap, and/or policies and procedures. Engineer will have a background in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). It is preferred if the engineer also has some understanding of other Cisco products such as, Digital Network Architecture (DNA) Center, and Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) solution sets. Engineer will be expected to collaborate with production engineers as well as future technology engineers to ensure efforts are aligned with customer's initiatives. Qualifications: Cisco HyperFlex experience ESX/VMware experience Cisco Prime experience Cisco ACI deployment experience Provide technical leadership for various projects to meet projects goals and timelines. Work with project teams as required to design technical solutions to address project requirements Be willing and able to evaluate new technologies, or new uses for technology to solve business problems. Provide high-availability support for virtual infrastructure to meet uptime and performance expectations Understand the architecture of the virtual environment and make recommendations and changes that will provide enhancements End-to-end monitoring of the environment for both performance and availability Analysis reporting for the purpose of capacity planning Maintain technical documentation that supports the environment Troubleshoot functional and technical incidents Configure and manage the virtual infrastructure to support new business requirements as required. Provide on-call and after hours support for production environments on a rotation basis Provide technical knowledge and cross-training to peers in areas of expertise Provision and retire physical and virtual servers in accordance with established procedures Manage, maintain and troubleshoot server and appliance hardware issues Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance Monitor system performance and capacity and proactively seek to address identified issues Manage, maintain, patch and troubleshoot OS and software service issues Administer supporting systems (i.e. DNS, NTP, printing, etc.) Troubleshoot and fix user reported issues Perform user administration tasks, including troubleshooting any issues that may arise Provide on-call support per the published schedule Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors Document the policies and procedures to support the environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies Prepare reports on administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize the environment Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is more than a commitment at WWT -- it is the foundation of what we do.
