Contract Overview PEO EIS develops, acquires, and deploys tactical and non-tactical information technology systems and communications products and services. The organization is a center of excellence for systems acquisition, development, and integration of IT products and services. The purpose of this contract is to obtain various functional support services to augment the efforts of the existing workforce and enable the organization to keep pace with the rapid pace of customer acquisition requirements. Position General Responsibilities * Lead the team of Contract Specialists by defining project objectives and strategic direction. * Direct the activities of more junior Contract Specialists. * Responsible for providing leadership and vision to client and project teams and serves as a key facilitator between multiple teams to achieve objectives of complex efforts. * Perform "cradle-to-grave" acquisition functions (i.e., from pre-award, to post-award, to the final contract termination/close-out). * Review procurement requests to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations and sufficiency of technical specifications or purchase description and supporting information. * Develop solicitation documents and other contractual documentation amendments, supporting memoranda. * Review bids or proposals for compliance to solicitation and determine Contractor responsibility. * Experience executing more complex contract actions such as REAs (Request for Equitable Adjustments), Terminations, Claims/disputes etc Position Qualifications * BA in related field, 10 additional years of experience w/o degree will be accepted. * Eight (8) years of progressive experience assisting with preparing solicitations, evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards for the Federal Government as well as aid in administering contracts by preparing modifications, reviewing invoices, file management, resolving issues between the Government and the Contractor, and preparing contracts for close-out.
