The project provides for the maintenance and sustainment of the DoD Host Based Security System (HBSS) on the Enterprise Blood Management System – Donor (EBMS-D) production, training, and testing servers and the management of HBSS on all EBMS servers at Military Health Systems (MHS) Enterprise Service Operation Center (MESOC) San Antonio, TX, all COOP EBMS servers at MESOC Aurora, CO, or an equivalent testing environment and all Mobile Servers located at EBMS-D sites. Services include testing and implementation of HBSS on applicable servers. Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (ADP IT1)
Responsibilities: 1. Managing and monitoring all EBMS-D servers using the e-policy orchestrator (ePO) console for security vulnerabilities and intrusions/attacks 2. Deploying latest virus definition file updates and maintain Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) to protect EBMS-D servers against security vulnerabilities 3. Installing and updating all Blood Management Blood Bank/Transfusion Service (BMBB/TS) servers with required point products and Computer Network Defense Service Provider (CNDSP) tools to keep servers compliant with Information Assurance and U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) requirements and directives 4. Testing and verifying BMBB/TS system functionality is not impacted by HBSS updates Testing, configuring, tuning, and maintaining of the suite of HBSS Point Products in accordance with (IAW) USCYBERCOM OPORD 12-1016 and additional guidance as released 5. Fully deploy and configure and maintain HBSS on Blood Donor Management System (BDMS) mobile servers and BMBB/TS APBC (Automated Patient Backup Card) systems, to protect systems against security vulnerabilities
6. Perform periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments including user accounts, application access, file system, and external web integrity scans to determine compliance
7. Ensure Subscriber HBSS Remote Consoles are properly managed and configured per the HBSS Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Checklists 8. Prepare and submit Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) documents
9. Assist in development and maintenance of system Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation
Report potential incidents to EBMS Project Manager as they arise 10. Preparing Implementation and Management Plan Education & Certification Requirements: 1. Bachelors Degree
