Perform analysis, design, or test of moderately complex or portions of complex electrical circuit or hardware designs working with data developed by more senior engineers.
Determine the technical principles involved, identify possible problems, and compute design characteristics.
Evaluate completed design with more senior engineers and other technical groups and make modifications necessary to achieve a design that satisfies requirements.
Develop, coordinate, and conduct the test programs required to evaluate the design. May also oversee, with senior engineer support, component supplier design, analysis, manufacture and test.
Responsibilities:
Job Knowledge/Technical Skills - Enhanced understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards. Extended Knowledge with P-Spice, Cadence and circuit analysis.
Enhanced technical expertise and limited knowledge of other related disciplines, e.g. other EE disciplines and program interfacing disciplines.
Attends and prepares under supervision materials to support electrical engineers during Requirements and Design Reviews.
Problem Solving/Innovation - With limited supervision, applies theoretical knowledge and engineering technical principles to solve more complex electrical engineering problems.
Liaison - Regularly demonstrates involvement with other staff/team members which is mutually beneficial.
Responds in a timely manner to all requests and explores all avenues within authority and makes appropriate referrals to other sources.
Disciplined with escalation when required
Requirements Derivation/ Test Development - Establish requirements for EEE parts, components, or functional systems.
Supports the testing and/or evaluation/validation of one or more elements of an electrical component, subsystem, or system analytical model or actual system implementation.
Analysis and Design - Performs analysis, design, or test of one or more moderately complex or portions of complex designs, components, functional systems. Using P-Spice, Cadence. Good at circuit analysis.
Supports trade studies for component or subsystem level designs.
Implements and manages changes to circuit, component, or system level design or analytical models under direction and support of more experienced engineers
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and two (2) years experience. Or, a Master's degree in Engineering.
