In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing an Attitude Control Subsystem (ACS). You will be the technical advocate for the entire ACS subsystem, ensuring that the design will satisfy all mission requirements. You will oversee several component developments at outside suppliers as well as the integration and test of the entire subsystem once hardware is received. Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of compressed gas Attitude Control Systems or other relevant propulsion systems - Experience with aerospace flight hardware design, analysis, manufacture, or test and integration - Previous experience as a CPE or delegate with relevant attitude control hardware experience - Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers, Cost Account Management (CAM) team leadership, and schedule/planning experience - Ability to drive hardware production activities through delivery to the program - Ability obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance; US citizenship is required
- Master's Degree in either Mechanical/Aeronautical engineering or related technical field - Experience in all phases of the system engineering lifecycle from concept development through sustainment/disposal - Experience serving as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs - Knowledgeable at a systems level in the areas of systems engineering, propulsion technology, mechanical design, fluid dynamics, material properties, technical subcontract management, harness routing, electrical design/analysis, transportation, and launch operations - Experience developing Proposal documents and Basis of Estimates (BOE's) - Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers through a dynamic and challenging environment - Active Secret Security Clearance
